4.       The persons I have listed from C1 can help us to discharge the responsibilities.              They can help us in many ways such as:

          Parents: Parents are our nearest persons to help us to discharge the

          responsibilities because we are used to learn from them from very small.

          Teachers: Teachers can help us to discharge the responsibilities in the inside of

          the class.

          Government: The government can help us to discharge the responsibilities by providing the basic necessities and facilities which we need.

5.       There are some difficulties in fulfilling the responsibilities. Because:

          We have large population in our country and it is not well off. Although our government is trying to ensure the basic necessities of its citizens but have some difficulties.

6.       Not only we have the responsibilities towards other but also the other peoples

         have the same responsibilities to us. If they fail to fulfill their responsibilities 

         we will difficulties to discharging our responsibilities towards others.

7.      (a) If we fulfill our responsibilities effectively, all including ourselves, our family, our society and above all our country will be benefited.

          (b) If we do not carry out our responsibilities, will not deserve other’s help.

Questions :

1. Why did some people have little or no patience when the ferry boat was in danger of sinking?

2. ‘No more, No more, please wait’ who said this? Explain in 2/3 sentences.

3. Answer the questions below:

    a. If we have too many buyers of fish in the market, what is likely to happen?

    b. If we have too many passengers at a bus or train station, what may happen?

    c. If we have too many people in a village/town/city, what will happen?

Answers :

1.       People thought that a storm was approaching and it was getting dark and if they couldn’t cross the river instantly they might fall in a big problem in case of returning home. So, some of them became impatient to get into the boat thought it seemed that the boat was overcrowded and in the danger of sinking.

2.       The boatman of the ferry said this. Every passenger was trying to get into the boat, But the boatman could realize the consequence of that impatience. So he was earnestly requesting to the passengers to wait for the next term.   

3.       (a) If we have too many buyers of fish in the market the demand of fish will be bigger than the supply. Then the market will be unstable and the prices of fish will be very high. People won’t be able to buy them.

          (b) If we have too many passengers at a bus or train station the buses and trains will be overcrowded and they will be in danger of facing accident. Moreover, all the passengers waiting cannot get into the bus or train and will be late in their work.

          (c) If we have to many people in village/ town/ city, all the people cannot get their basic necessities of life : The effect of over population will be seen in all the sectors.

THE STORY OF NILA 

Nila, a young girl of 14 is a student of class 9 of Noapara Girls’ High school, Noapara. She was a poor girl but had an aspiration to help her family for a better life. On her way to school, a boy named Alam used to tease her very often. But she didn’t get frustrated rather. He showed great courage to him. She thought that she had to protest against this injustice, otherwise the level of harassment would increase day by day. As a result, its impact on society can be huge. At first, Neela warned Alam not to bother her, but to no avail. So she decided to inform to the Headmaster of her school. The headmaster of the school took Nila's words seriously and took legal action through the administration. Eventually Alam realized his mistake and he apologized to Neela. She also forgave him. Alam has never bothered him since this incident. Everyone thanked Nila for this step against him.
